Abstract

Truth (1959) by M. Dummett was certainly an important contribution to the development of contemporary analytical philosophy, as well as the programmatic presentation of a long speculative path that the author pursued in the following decades. This article intends to analyze some theses of Dummett's anti-realist philosophical proposal, relating the conclusions with the gnoseology and metaphysics of Thomas Aquinas.

Thus, in addition to the many known differences between classical philosophy and logical intuitionism, there are also some points of tangency that can be traced and recognizable in the common anti-Platonic horizon and in the need for an objective concept of human truth.
